Michael Emmetti has spent over 35 years in the IT industry — from pulling his first cable run to architecting enterprise-grade network infrastructures across the country. His career spans the entire evolution of modern IT: from copper to fiber, analog to cloud, reactive support to AI-driven operations.
Michael isn't a corner-office executive who lost touch with the work. He's a technician at heart — certified in structured cabling, network engineering, and systems administration. He's designed and installed cabling infrastructure for museums, commercial buildings, government facilities, and data centers. He's configured everything from Ubiquiti deployments to enterprise Cisco stacks, built out server rooms, and troubleshot issues at 2am because that's what the job demands.
For decades, Michael focused on landing the next job — delivering exceptional service as an independent consultant and contractor. But after 35 years of watching the industry churn through the same inefficiencies, he decided to stop consulting and start building. wonder/LAN is the company he wished existed when he was on the other side of the helpdesk.
